A group of men in their prime and each of them in the midst of a tangible life crisis: What could be more natural than to unceremoniously form the first male synchronized swimming team at their local swimming pool? Wearing swimming trunks and swimming caps, they want to take on their own midlife crisis and the international competition in water ballet. Defying the skepticism and ridicule of their peers, and drilled by two female coaches who have also lost their way a bit, the water sports-loving "fair swimmers" embark on an improbable adventure, at the end of which they must outgrow themselves.
