Simon (Kacey Mottet Klein) lives alone with his attractive sister Louise (Léa Seydoux, Inglourious Basterds, Midnight in Paris, Les Adieux a la reine). Since Louise can't find work and is mainly interested in men, little money comes in. To survive, Simon steals ski equipment from rich tourists, which he then sells to young children. A small but profitable extra income. When Louise becomes unemployed again, she too profits from Simon's business, which goes from strength to strength. She becomes more and more dependent on him... SISTER (L'Enfant d'en Haut) was made by acclaimed director Ursula Meier (HOME, 2008), won the Silver Bear at the 2012 Berlin Film Festival and wass the Swiss entry for the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. The jury praised the film for its "intelligent and original screenplay, straightforward direction and two young, charismatic actors".
