I Will Cross Tomorrow

Maria is a Greek police officer, a single mom and an only child. She struggles with financial troubles, her teenage daughter, her old mother and the national crisis. Her police station in Athens is closing down and she has to accept a position on the island of Lesbos, in the middle of the Aegean Sea. Yussof, a young man from Syria, who fled the war not to be forced to kill, arrives in a refugee camp on Lesbos. He wants to start a new life in Europe. Maria and Yussof will meet in an unavoidable and passionate movement. Yussof follows Maria to Athens, when her daughter disappears. Their destiny brings them together for a brief moment, in a Greece that seems to be a place of peace, but that in reality is not. The freest one of the two may not be the one we think...
